New York
New York

We made it to the Big Apple ! ! ! We arrived here on Sunday evening and are staying with our friends Amber and Ryan who live in Queens with their adorable one and a half year old Toby.

Monday morning we started our adventure around 10:00 in the morning and headed into Manhattan.  We bought tour bus tickets that allow us to take tours of the city for three days.  The buses are pretty much like taxies arriving every 10 to 15 mins and take you around New York and tell you about the city and the sites.

Some of the things we saw on the first day were: Central Park, Times Square, Empire State Building, Ground Zero, Wall Street, The Bull, Chrysler Building, Rockefeller Plaza, Madison Square Garden (number 4, there have been 4 of them), The UN Building, The Brooklyn Bridge, The East River, Statue of Liberty, Patagonia, Little Italy, China Town, and rode the New York subway.

We finally arrived back at Amber and Ryan's arouund 10:00 pm, just a little tired.

New York people have been very friendly and helpful.  We asked random people for directions throughout the day and each person was happy to point us in the right direction.

Today we are heading out again to take another bus tour to Harlem and we have our very own New Yorker, Toby Corriston to guide us.

Talk to you all later.
