Amsterdam
Amsterdam

A little about Amsterdam... Very nice canal city. The whole city has water
running through it kind of like Venice. The architecture is old so that was
cool to see. We were so tired when we arrived at 800 am Amsterdam time, we took
a train ride to downtown then a taxi to our hotel. We freshened up and then
took a nap till about 100.

We then headed to the Anne Frank house and museum, it was very interesting. We
then got some cheese and had a Heineken at a caf.

We then headed over to the red light district. It sounds more interesting then it really is. There are women in windows to to get a man to come in and their
are a lot of "coffee" shops as they call them that are full of people smoking
pot. We were so tired that we did not hang out there very long The red light
district is like Vegas. If we would have had more time it would have been nice
to kick back and enjoy the local beers and culture.

We headed back towards our hotel around 800 and had dinner at an Italian
restaurant then back to our room and I was asleep by 915.

The most interesting thing to me was the transportation. Everyone rode a bike,
literally there were millions. It was the means of transportation. If you had
two children then one sat in a carriage in front and one sat on a seat in the
back. I have photos so you will have to check the web site.
