So who are we? And why would we leave 2 perfectly good jobs where we “had it good” to live out of our backpacks for 14 months and guarantee ourselves many rounds of gastrointestinal episodes?  

Some people call it crazy, some people call it bold, but we just see it as an extension of what we want out of our lives. Learning, living, and laughing (usually together - but sometimes at each other) is what brought Susan and Brian together as they snowboarded their way through many runs, head on collisions into the snow, freezing bodies parts on the chairlift, and hot cocoa at the end of the day at the Mt. Baker ski area in Washington State. And that is how it all began...................

Susan has lived in Seattle for most of her life. She graduated from the University of Washington and headed out to see corporate America. She worked for Clear Channel Radio in Seattle, Washington and sold advertising for KJR Sports Radio 950 for over 6 years where she worked with the some of the funniest, offbeat, wonderful people on this planet. While working, Susan also completed her Masters in Business at Seattle University. Some of Susan’s crowning achievements include winning the school spelling bee in 3rd grade, managing to sleep on palm leaves in the Costa Rican jungle (and actually falling asleep), and not killing Brian (yet!) with all of her culinary concoctions. 

Brian is from a small town an hour west of Chicago named Sandwich….where their claim to fame is the world famous ‘Sandwich Fair’. The lemon shake-ups and hand-dipped corndogs are worth the trek. Brian graduated from Dubuque University in neighboring Iowa and he too went racing into the corporate world. Brian worked a hard and successful 10 years in the transportation industry including his latest position as Area Sales Manager at UPS. Brian is the more “bold” adventurer with 5 surgeries under his belt including a broken nose, ankle, arm, leg, and both collar bones. Bring it on!  

And now, we are ready to write the next chapter in our lives and invite you on our journey as we explore, learn, and test ourselves in this wonderful world we all call home.
